You can check webmd.com and look some stuff up on the internet. You can find home cures and natural remedies to a lot of stuff. There are a lot of natural choices out there, and it has been found that the traditional medical solutions do not always work, because BV tends to reoccur often as the antibiotics that are prescribed only work as long as you take it. The long term solution naturally can be found here … http://bit.ly/BVMiracle

what are the natural cures for bacterial vaginosis?
My wife has had this for 9 months now and i thought it’s not a big deal. But since i come across about BV in the internet and feared it was really bad since she is pregnant in her third trimester! it worries me so much!We have not consulted a doctor since i read that it just a simple discharge that can be cured with lactacyd or any feminine wash. im so worried that this might affect our baby’s development as well as his brain. can you still cure BV in the third trimester? would it have any complications? im searching for any herbal remedies, can anyone recommend the best way to treat it? do I really need to have my wife see a doctor for this since she does not experience any other symptoms except a mild discharge that is milky and has a very foul odor, though its not painful to urinate and the like..

There is no quick, simple answer. Bacterial Vaginosis is perfectly treatable with lots of natural remedies like Acidophilus. But you need to be persistent, because the main problem with BV is how quickly it can reoccur. Regardless, it is always wise to check with your ob-gyn or family doctor.

Bacterial Vaginosis is often confused with yeast infections. The main differences include: BV generally does not itch, the type of discharge is very different. BV’s discharge can be white to dull gray and sometimes thick, almost always with a foul fishy odor. Yeast infections on the other hand are often itchy and any discharge is colorless and most often odorless.
I’m surprised nobody mentioned this, but Probiotics work wonderfully to fight yeast overgrowths. Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that live in your intestinal tract among other places and they help to defend against bad bacteria and growths. It’s very common to get more yeast infections after an antibiotic regimen because the antibiotic kills off the Probiotics as well.
If you take a high potency Probiotic (at least a few different strains and at least 20-30 billion viable organisms if not more), that should help to push the yeast back quickly and keep it at bay. After a month or so of that regimen, it should have repopulated the good bacteria enough that you could take a maintenance Probiotic (2-5 billion organisms of a few strains) to help keep the bad stuff away.
I have heard of some people that like to put yogurt right in the area to get the Probiotics in it right to the yeast, but that is messy and yogurt doesn’t have anywhere near the quantity of Probiotics as a supplement would have.
One thing to note is that whenever you go from no Probiotics in your diet to a larger dose of them, it’s common to have some loose stools for the first day or two… but that tapers off within the first couple days. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Most herbs are not recommended during pregnancy. But you could try Garlic:
Often called ‘nature’s antibiotic’, this sure cure for a number of ailments, is effective against bacterial vaginosis too, because of its strong antibacterial properties. It can be taken both orally or vaginally. A peeled whole garlic clove, wrapped in gauze, can be inserted into the vagina. It can also be used as douches or in suppository form. This herb also prevents bacterial vaginosis recurrence.
Good Luck!

that it will have recurrence within six months of treatment. On the other hand, natural cures for BV which involved making some changes to one’s diet, the use of vitamin supplements, herbal products and home remedy methods have proven equally effective but with very few or no recurrence at all.
