The problem is that all too often we continue to do the things we have always done and before you know it <span class="aft-manager-keyword">BV</span> is back. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>Steps For Finding a <span class="aft-manager-keyword">Bacterial Vaginosis</span> Treatment</h1>
<h3>1. Define The Issue &amp; Know The Symptoms</h3>
<p style="text-align: left;">The Merck manual of medical information talks about vaginitis (or bacterial vaginosis) and begins by looking at the <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/MerckManual.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1257" title="MerckManual" src="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/MerckManual.jpg" alt="alt=&quot;bacterial vaginosis treatment&quot;" width="181" height="208" /></a>symptoms. The definition given is that vaginitis is an inflammation of the lining of the vagina. In these conditions, the tissues are inflamed, sometimes resulting in a vaginal discharge. Causes include infections, irritating substances or objects, tumors or other abnormal tissue, radiation therapy, drugs, and hormonal changes. Poor personal hygiene can contribute to the growth of bacteria and fungi as well as cause irritation. Stool may enter through an abnormal passage or a fistula from the intestine to the vagina resulting in vaginitis. Finding the proper <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/bacterial-vaginosis-freedom" target="_blank">bacterial vaginosis treatment</a> is dependent on correctly identifying your symptoms.</p>
<p>A vaginal discharge may be normal and some of the causes are hormonal changes. These can result in a normal discharge that&#8217;s watery, mucus, or milky white varying in amount and type of the different phases of the woman&#8217;s cycle. However vaginitis has an abnormal discharge.</p>
<p>So just how do you know whether the discharge you have is normal or abnormal?</p>
<p>A discharge is considered abnormal if it occurs in large amounts, has an offensive odor, may be accompanied by vaginal itching, soreness, or pain. Often the discharge is thicker than the normal discharge and varied in color. For example it may be the consistency of cottage cheese, or it may be yellow, greenish, or even blood tinged. The more you learn and understand about these symptoms and how they vary from other feminine issues, the quicker you will be on your way to a bacterial vaginosis treatment.</p>
<p>A bacterial infection of the vagina tends to produce a white, gray, or yellow cloudy discharge with a foul or a fishy order. The odor may become stronger after sexual intercourse or even washing with soap, both of which reduce vaginal acidity, thus encouraging bacterial growth. The vulva may feel irritated or itch mildly. While a bacterial vaginosis treatment will handle all of these symptoms, it is also necessary to look at your overall health and habits.</p>
<h3>2. Seek A Proper Diagnosis</h3>
<p>One of the most important things that almost everyone agrees upon, is that a proper diagnosis must be made before a bacterial vaginosis <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/FemaleDoctor.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-1268" title="Beautiful Doctor or Nurse 16" src="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/FemaleDoctor-200x300.jpg" alt="alt=&quot;bacterial vaginosis treatment&quot;" width="200" height="300" /></a>treatment can begin. Therefore it is important to see your health care provider as soon as you detect any of these symptoms. While examining the vagina, the doctor uses a cotton tipped swab to take a sample of the discharge which is examined under a microscope, grown in a laboratory(cultured), or both to identify the infecting organism.</p>
<h3>3. Carefully Consider Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment Options</h3>
<p>Specific bacterial vaginosis treatment is required according to its cause If it is an infection, treatment consists of an antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral drug depending on the infected organism. Most doctors recognize that prescribing antibiotics for bacterial vaginosis is only a short term solution. Without re-balancing the natural pH in the vagina, bacterial vaginosis will reoccur.</p>
<p>The medical community still recommends douching and even in the Merck manual it talks about using a premeasured vinegar and water douche to briefly control the symptoms. They do note however, douching frequently and using medicated douches are discouraged because they increased the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease.</p>
<h2>Highly Effective Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment</h2>
<p>So what&#8217;s a gal to do once she knows she has bacterial vaginosis?</p>
<p>O<span class="aft-manager-keyword">bv</span>iously, doctors will prescribe meds which may give temporary relief but in fact will only aggravate the situation. The answer lies in a natural bacterial vaginosis treatment. It&#8217;s important to consider diet changes, personal hygiene, sexual relations, as well as specific remedies to relieve the symptoms permanently.</p>
<p>I am sorry to say if you are looking for a magic pill <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Pillbox.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1269 alignright" title="Pillbox" src="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Pillbox-150x150.jpg" alt="alt=&quot;bacterial vaginosis treatment&quot;" width="150" height="150" /></a>that will instantly provide a bacterial vaginosis treatment, it does not exist. You have to be an active participant in restoring not only your vagina but your whole body to a healthy condition.</p>
<p>One of the best solutions that I have found is Bacterial Vaginosis Freedom an E-book that&#8217;s a quick read and easy to implement. Followed correctly you will be symptom-free in just a matter of days. To check out the book and get more information <a rel="nofollow" href="http://63288vqcncrbncba59xcs61h7f.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=BVF" target="_blank">click here</a>.</p>
<p>Remember a bacterial vaginosis treatment is readily available, but for it to be highly effective, you have to be willing to make changes in your lifestyle and follow the program &#8211; if you do BV freedom is yours!</p>

<h3>admin answers:</h3>
<p class="dtm-content">It is exactly what it says it is. A vaginal bacterial infection. The vagina is warm and moist and basically an optimal place for many types of bacteria to breed. It even has the correct pH, the bacteria must have gotten&#8230;in there and multiplied. As they colonize they create the symptoms whatever they were that brought you to go to the doctor. Your doctor most likely gave you either a topical (on the skin) or oral (swallowable) antibiotic. Which is a drug that kills bacteria.</p>

<h2>Can this cause vaginal bacterial infection?</h2>
<p>I know it&#8217;s probably a stupid question but I&#8217;ve always thought that your vagina cleanses itself and flushes all the bad stuff out.</p>
<p>Anyways I was stuck at the beach all day with sand in my bikini bottom and I tried to get a lot of it out but beach bathrooms are so nasty and there&#8217;s no sinks. Can&#8217;t really wash yourself up, so now ever since then&#8230;I&#8217;ve been feeling irritation down there even though I&#8217;ve washed. It&#8217;s been like 4 days now.</p>

<h3>admin answers:</h3>
<p class="dtm-content">You&#8217;re right, your vagina does cleanse itself by flushing out harmful bacteria, dirt, dead cells etc. And it&#8217;s slightly acidic pH helps kill off anything nasty&#8230;</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve washed then it may not be the sand and other nasties from the beach &#8211; but, although the vagina does self-clean it can only do so much, it can take time for it to recover after it&#8217;s had something nasty inside it, so it may be a little under the weather for a few days. It may have brought on an infection, if worried then see a doctor to check for infections.</p>

<p>sometimes it can disappear without any form of vaginosis treatment. But if this type of vaginitis which is also known as Bacterial Vaginosis doesn&#8217;t clear up, there are several different vaginosis treatment options available.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Natural Vaginosis Treatment</h2>
<p>A natural vaginosis treatment is usually less expensive that prescriptions and will definitely save you time and discomfort. Think about it &#8211; the obvious ones are &#8211; no more doctor visits, no more trips to the pharmacy, no more itching and burning and that awful discharge. While it is important to relieve the symptoms with a vaginosis treatment, you need to be sure that you are not just masking them. Garlic one of nature&#8217;s natural remedies is one of the best.</p>
<p>Garlic known for antibacterial and anti-fungal properties will eliminate the imbalance in the bacteria in the vagina with 1 or 2 capsules every day until your symptoms disappear. A vaginosis treatment that can be used is: Tracheal, or one of these other natural ingredients &#8211; tea tree oil, olive leaf extract, golden-seal and colloidal silver. Natural vaginosis treatment comes in many different forms, with some you will take capsules, others you will apply topically and still others will be a tea that you drink. Don&#8217;t dismiss their effectiveness because of their simplicity.</p>
<p>It is still very important that you have the proper diagnosis and the best way to be sure is to have your medical provider examine you and order some tests.  These tests can include: an oligonucleotide probes test, a Whiff test, gram stain, vaginal pH level or  wet mount.  A vaginal discharge sample  can be tested to see if you have bacterial vaginosis. Once confirmed that you have BV, your medical provider may prescribe antibiotics or vaginal creams and gels. Be aware that the prescriptions are shown to relieve the symptoms right away, but do not remove bacterial vaginosis.</p>
<p>There are life style changes that can support you to remain free from BV, along with the bacterial <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com">vaginosis treatment</a></p>

<h1 style="text-align: center;">Pay Attention To Your Body</h1>
<p>Noticing that some things are off with your body, wondering what&#8217;s going on, fearing the worst. There are a number of tell tale BV symptoms you can be on the look out for to see if you need to go to the doctor. Below I have listed the most common symptoms for sufferers of BV so that you can see if you may have it.</p>
<h2>Connecting The Dots &#8230; BV Symptoms</h2>
<p>The first of a few BV symptoms that you will notice and quite possible the one that will make you most self conscious, will be a fishy odor from your vagina, this is pretty much a guarantee that you have BV, immediately go to the doctor and get checked out. This odor will become stronger and more noticeable directly after intercourse. A white and grayish vaginal discharge is also a very common occurrence with vaginosis and as well is more prevalent after sex. These two are the primary <a title="<span class="aft-manager-keyword">Bacterial Vaginosis</span> Treatment Review" href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/" target="_self">BV symptoms</a> and are almost always present in cases of BV.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/FemaleDoctor.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-225" title="Beautiful Doctor or Nurse 16" src="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/FemaleDoctor-200x300.jpg" alt="BV Symptoms" width="200" height="300" alt="BV Symptoms"/></a></p>
<h3>Additional Secondary BV Symptoms</h3>
<p>Are you noticing redness and itching of the vaginal area, these are also common secondary BV symptoms. Painful intercourse and painful urination can also be tips that you have BV. If you notice any of these BV symptoms you should consult your doctor immediately.</p>
<p>Once your doctor has discerned whether or not you have vaginosis they will most likely prescribe antibiotics that will clear up the issue&#8230;for now. I myself prefer to use natural methods to clear up my BV; these methods have helped me to get rid of it once and for all. Be on the lookout for these BV symptoms as 1 in 3 women will get in their lifetime.</p>

With numbers this high it is no surprise that women are always looking for a list of common vaginosis symptoms. Below I have listed the 4 most common signs of BV.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><img height="225" hspace="20" src="http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/s/su/sundstrom/947309_abyss_2.jpg" vspace="20" width="300" /></p>
<p>&nbsp; The first sign and the most noticeable will be a white and grey vaginal discharge. This discharge will always accomany <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/recommends/BVBreakthrough.php" target="_blank">bacterial vaginosis</a> , it may on occasion have a yellowish tinge as well but primarily you will see white and grey.</p>
<p>The second sign and the one complained about most is a fishy vaginal odour, this is considered on of the most unpleasant signs.</p>
<p>The third sign is a stronger fishy odour than the second sign after intercourse. This is the most embarrassing sign as this is often noticed by more than just you.</p>
<p>The fourth sign is not as common but still a cause for concern if it happens is vaginal itching and painful intercourse. If you experience these than you certainly want to get checked out.</p>
<p>It is very important that women know the signs of BV, not detecting and treating BV can lead to complications down the road. This is especially important if you are pregnant, bacterial vaginosis can cause complications such as premature rupture of your water causing preterm labour.</p>
<p>It is paramount that women know the vaginosis symptoms so that they will be able to determine if they have to get it confirmed by a doctor. Besides the obvious discomfort that comes with BV there are possible long term issue than can develop from untreated BV.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is not one simple cause that causes <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/itching-burning-pain-isnt-it-time-for-a-real-bacterial-vaginosis-treatment" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#0000ff"><span class="aft-manager-keyword">bacterial vaginosis</span></font></strong></a>. Since there are many different types of bacteria that live in the vagina, any type of imbalance of harmful bacteria in the vagina can cause this infection, a yeast infection or trichomoniasis. Even though there researchers are unable to determine one simple cause, they have suggested there can be several different things that can still cause this infection. Such as: douching, not using a condom during sexual intercourse, multiple sex partners as well as an intrauterine device for birth control. </p>
<p>&nbsp;<img height="355" src="http://img.youtube.com/vi/TYPT_4JPkqg/default.jpg" width="425" /></p>
<p> In a lot of cases this infection has been known to go away on its own. It&#8217;s been estimated that around 50%-75% of women have recorded either no signs or no symptoms of <a href="http://www.bacterialvaginosistreatmentreview.com/itching-burning-pain-isnt-it-time-for-a-real-bacterial-vaginosis-treatment" target="_blank"><strong><font color="#0000ff">bacterial vaginosis</font></strong></a>. But if treatment is needed, your doctor may prescribe you with antibiotics or a vaginal cream or gel. In order to determine if you have this infection, your doctor may take a vaginal sample and test it.</p>
<p> However, there are different ways to help prevent bacterial vaginosis. You can do things like: Wiping from front to back, no douching, keeping the vaginal area clean. Avoid wearing tight clothes, avoid scented or treated toilet paper that also includes scented feminine hygiene products and always remember to practice safe sex.</p>
<p> It&#8217;s been said that women who have this infection and are also pregnant have a higher risk of delivering a premature baby, infection of amniotic fluid and infection of the uterus after delivery. Screening and treatment is recommended to women who have a history of preterm birth.</p>
<p> Although it is known that this type of infection can resolve on its own and even if treated, it&#8217;s known to have no complications. In some cases bacterial vaginosis is known to disappear on it&#8217;s own as well. However if treatment is needed, your doctor will in most cases take a sample of the vaginal discharge to test it to determine if you do have this type of infection. If it&#8217;s proven that you do, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to help clear up the infection, there are also vaginal creams and gels that can be used.</p>

This is dangerous as lack of treatment enhances a woman&#8217;s risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), cervicitis, pregnancy complications, endometritis and post-operative infections among other health conditions.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Bacterial Vaginosis &#8211; Who requires Treatment?</p>
<p>Bacterial Vaginosis treatment is not necessary when the bacteria are present in the vagina. But treatment is required in the following cases:</p>
<ul>
<li>When the woman has symptoms or the physician discovers <a href="http://56d09qsgu3n8ld967gtqbatz2l.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=BV71111" target="_blank"><span style="color: #000000;">signs of bacterial vaginosis</span></a></li>
<li>When the women is about to undergo a medical procedure which might lead to further intake of bacteria into the uterus</li>
<li>When the woman is pregnant</li>
</ul>
<p>Bacterial Vaginosis &#8211; Oral and Vaginal Medication</p>
<p>Oral or vaginal Metronidazole for continuous period of 7-days is the first choice of oral medication for treating bacterial vaginosis. These antibiotic medicines can be applied in the vaginal area as vaginal cream and gel or taken as a pill. Oral medicines are used to treat pregnant women who bear high-risk for pre-term labor. Metronidazole, Tinidazole, and Clindamycin are antibiotics that destroy bacteria responsible for bacterial vaginosis. All of these three antibiotics offer average cure rates of 80% to 90%. The vaginal medications are less likely to cause nausea and vomiting, unlike oral medication.</p>
<p>For bacterial vaginosis during pregnancy, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends application of clindamycin cream 2% for a period of seven days and 4 weeks of vaginal Metronidazole gel treatment. Metronidazole id thought to be the safest to use during pregnancy.</p>
<p>Other Stunning Treatments &#8211; Other than Metronidazole</p>
<p><img src="http://img.youtube.com/vi/h5oOUMP4_UM/default.jpg" alt="" width="425" height="355" /></p>
<p>The following set of medicines is not as effective as Metronidazole, but they certainly have fewer side effects:</p>
<ul>
<li>Tinidazole &#8211; these tablets can be taken as a single dose. The side effects are as few and elementary as Metronidazole</li>
<li>Miconazole &#8211; Also known as Monistat, these are effective to reduce vaginal thrush and also bacterial vaginitis. You can get this without producing any prescription. Insert one pessary each night for 7 nights</li>
<li>Aci-jel &#8211; a vaginal cream that is effective in altering the acidity of vagina, thereby reducing the multiple growths of bacterial vaginosis organisms. This cream is also available from pharmacies without a prescription.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="aft-manager-keyword">Bacterial Vaginosis</span> Treatment Options</p>
<p> Possible treatment options for Bacterial Vaginosis include different antibiotics as well as natural treatments. This article discusses both as treatment options.
<p> Most often antibiotics will be prescribed by a doctor when finding a treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis. The most widely used antibiotic is known as Metronidazole. This antibiotic can be taken by mouth with a pill or it can be also be applied to the infected area as a gel. Both the pill and the gel have been proven to be good treatments. Another antibiotic that is used is Clindamycin, as a vaginal cream. Many times, the best treatment often has the worst side effects. In the case of the previously mentioned medication options, the most effective treatment is believed to be the oral metronidazole pills. However, it can cause some unwanted side effects, although these effects are usually minor compared to <span class="aft-manager-keyword">bv</span> symptoms.</p>
<p> Metronidazole should not be used by women early on in their pregnancy. It is believed to cause negative effects on the fetus. It should also be avoided by mothers who are breastfeeding, as it could possibly harm the baby. The antiobiotic gels are not known to have the same side effects, nevertheless, yeast vaginitis can occur from using the gels.</p>
<p> The downside of using antibiotics is that they don&#8217;t guarantee that you will rid yourself from BV for good. In fact, it is very common for women to have recurrent bacterial vaginosis after being treated with antibiotics. Statistically, over 50% of wome successfully treated have vagionsis symptoms again within 1 year. Unfortunately the cause of these recurrent episodes is not well known. Many women have reported that the only way they were able to cure BV for good was to use home remedies.</p>
<p> Another antibiotic that is less well-known and still in a testing phase in the United States is Tinidazole. It has been used in other countries and in Europe to succesfully treat bacterial vaginosis. The promising thing about Tinidazole is that it appears to have less side effects than other treatment options.</p>
<p> Natural treatments are becoming more popular. There are many home remedies that women have reported to use successfuly, such as tea tree oil, olive leaf extract, garlic, etc. However, there are resources and downloadable instructions available to make your own home remedy. Unfortunately, these instructions come with a small cost, but that cost is usually less that a doctor&#8217;s visit and may be a worthy option to pursue.</p>
<p> Sometimes just a change in diet and activity can drastically reduce symptoms of bacterial vaginosis. As a final note, if you think you are having symptoms of BV, make sure you get a proper diagnosis, as the best treatment option depends on if you really have BV or just a yeast infection.</p>
